Our faith is something that is very important to us. Faith is what bridges the gap between what you know, and what you don’t know. It is impossible for any person to know everything so whoever you are; you have faith in something! Jeff and I often times don’t do a very good job of sharing our faith with others especially those people closes to us (go figure). People that know us would probably conclude that we are religious people. That sounds nice but, it is much more than that. You see, religion is man trying to reach God on his own terms. Christianity is a personal relationship with the one who created mankind. It sounds distant or abstract to talk about a relationship with God, but it is truly the way to peace, happiness and fulfillment, not to mention ETERNAL LIFE. Constantine said “Hearts are restless until they find their rest in thee.”

In all humans heart is a yearning to know God. As we look around at our world the complexity and order of all things points us to a creator. The thing that separates us from a perfect God is sin (sin being wrong that we do and have done). God made a plan to restore relations with him through sending his Son Jesus Christ (Christmas). He lived a perfect life and died a horrible death to take the punishment for our sins. Three days after his death he rose from the dead (Easter). The way to God is through his Son Jesus Christ. The “Bible says I (JESUS) am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father but by me.

Admit that you have sinned. That you have broken God’s rules. (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 53:6)

Believe that God paid for your sin. (Romans 5:8, Romans 6:23) “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Commit your life to Jesus Christ. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe his His name.” (John 1:12) “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelations 3:20) Jesus calls us to repent and live a pure and holy life with His help. Repentance is defined as a “desire to amend.” In other words God gives us an opportunity to start anew and be transformed into the man or woman God desires us to be. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

Live a new life—- Life as a Christian does not mean you will have a life without trials. We still live in a fallen, sinful world. However, we now have hope in Jesus Christ. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
